Gravity Cycles LLC, is a for profit vendor-neutral bike sharing solution. We have been learning the ins and outs of bike sharing systems from around the world. Communities in Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Paris, and Montreal are already benefiting from bike sharing, and Gravity Cycles aims to bring the best aspects of each existing systems to the USA.
For those of you who hear “Gravity Cycles” and think we are a down hill bicycle company, sorry to disappoint you but keep reading. Our name Gravity Cycles is attributed to the our belief that social gravity can bring together people and communities. Gravity Cycles is passionate that bicycle sharing can make that happen.
Gravity Cycles vendor-neutral position allows us to use the best proven technology, system, and hardware available. We currently work with the world leading bicycle sharing consultants, sustainable transportation engineers and manufacturers from the America’s and overseas. This allows us to go to market immediately as a turn key solution to implement, manage and operate a successful bike share system and program. Gravity Cycles is not just a business, it is also a social business. This means that Gravity Cycles has three central aims, and criteria for success:
1) To be profitable and therefore sustainable.
2) To help communities live healthier, more responsible and sustainable lives by using bicycles as a fun and efficient means of alternative sustainable transportation.
3) To get involved with local bicycle organizations, non-profits and environmental conservation efforts.
Our ability to implement and oversee a successful bike sharing system will enable community members to reduce their carbon footprint, stay healthy, and set an example that will influence the rest of the country. Gravity Cycles intends to work with other individuals and organizations that share the same vision and passion for healthy living, alternative sustainable transportation and social responsibility.
